Our Vonage is finally working again - Yippeeeeee!!!! So odd not being able to just pick up the phone and call… It’s been about 2 months of our phone not working. Sometime mid-January, our Vonage phone just stopped working. At first we just kept trying to replug it in, working w/the very bad Vonage customer service to try to fix it on our own but it just wasn’t working. We weren’t in a big rush as we don’t use it everyday, but it’s very helpful to have. So, we were a little lax about getting it fixed. Finally, Vonage told us it was probably a problem with the adaptor and were sending us a new one. Unfortunately, they only send it domestically and since Vonage really isn’t suppose to be used in China, it got sent to my dad’s place. Well, you know how you forget to ask about it and we didn’t have a phone to call with, plus the time difference, it just took a while to get it sent here. Some miscommunication along the way, etc, etc. but now we finally have it. I was a bit skeptical that the problem was with the adaptor, but I plugged it in and voila… we have dial tone. And 15 voicemails… haha. Luckily, the good thing about Vonage is that they send me an email every time we get a voicemail, which usually is annoying, but in this case, was great. Plus, they include a wav. file of the voicemail so we were always able to receive our messages and call back when possible. We did set up a Skpe account to call out with but not in. It was ok to terrible quality. I often got cut off or the person on the end couldn’t hear me. Plus, certain 800 numbers were not able to be called from Skype. It was cheap though - $0.02 per minute but it wasn’t convenient at all. I had to sit at my computer and often got bad quality. I much prefer our Vonage, plus people can call in…

I’m so happy - see, it’s the little things that make me happy =).
